She specializes in serving private equity funds, asset managers, banks, investment companies, and broker-dealers by helping clients streamline operations, manage risk, and drive growth through strategic tax planning and transformation initiatives.
Toni provides comprehensive federal, state, local, and international tax services across the financial services industry, including all types of investment companies and capital market sectors. She has deep experience overseeing all aspects of client service delivery, including tax provision and compliance, and is widely regarded as a trusted advisor within Grassi’s Financial Services practice.
Prior to joining Grassi, Toni was a Tax Partner at Forvis Mazars on the Financial Services team, where she managed a multimillion-dollar client portfolio. In that role, she delivered tax planning, compliance, and structuring solutions to a diverse client base that included domestic and foreign banks, private equity, hedge funds, venture capital firms, broker-dealers, and emerging companies in the cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence sectors.
Toni’s expertise includes advising multinational investment firms on cross-border tax implications, treaty benefits, and international tax compliance (ITAX), with in-depth knowledge of partnership taxation, carried interest, blocker structures, Section 704(b)/704(c) allocations, and ASC 740 standards. Professionally active, she is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA, and participates in ALPFA and the Wall Street Tax Association. Toni holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pace University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance (summa cum laude) from Fordham University.
