Irene Dubin, born in the Soviet Union and raised in Siberia, is a psychotherapist who holds master's degrees in pharmacology and psychology with an emphasis on addiction counseling. Her diverse expertise spans somatic modalities, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, alongside entheogenic research, shamanic apprenticeships, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Since 1998, she has lived in the United States, where she runs a private practice and serves as the lead psychotherapist and co-founder of Blue Portal.
Tradd Cotter is a microbiologist, professional mycologist, and best-selling author of Organic Mushroom Farming and Mycoremediation (2014). For more than thirty years, he has cultivated fungi commercially and experimentally, earning prestigious recognitions like the Gary Lincoff Award. Tradd’s ongoing research focuses on bacterial-fungal interactions, mycopesticides, and antibiotic discovery. In 2022, he sold his first mushroom company to fully dedicate his work to psychedelic-assisted therapy and medical research.
Together, Irene and Tradd are the co-founders of Blue Portal, a mycologically-focused wellness retreat specializing in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. They also co-founded Halo Extracts, an innovative venture that develops novel, therapeutic formulations combining medicinal fungi and herbs for product development.
